A Columbus man is behind bars for his alleged role in a Sunday shooting that sent one victim to the hospital.
Frederick Demoko Washington, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and nine counts of possession of a controlled substance with a weapon enhancement.
Columbus Police Department informed the public Tuesday that Washington was a wanted suspect in the Sunday evening shooting on 20th Street North, in which a victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper leg.
Public Information Officer Bryan Moore said Washington turned himself in to police Thursday.
A search warrant was executed Monday on Washington’s residence as a part of the investigation, Moore said. Police seized multiple firearms, cocaine, MDMA and more than three pounds of marijuana.
