STARKVILLE — Mississippi State announced Tuesday that over 3,500 seats have been resereved for the new Dudy Noble Field.
That number represents 91 percent of the 2015 reserved seat sales.
The MSU Athletic Departmernt announced last fall that plans to renovate Dudy Noble Field were in the works to make it one of the best in college baseball. They were asking for donations at the time and a start date, nor a completion date were annonced.
Left Field Lounge holders also showed tremendous support for the project as 96 percent of Left Field Lounge spots were renewed.
Two-thirds of season ticket holders who made one-time gifts to construct the current stadium supported the new Dudy Noble Field by reserving seats. Close to 1,200 chairback seats were reserved by fans who had not previoulsy made a one-time stadium gift.
Premium seating sales are still ongoing and the athletic department is continuing to accept deposits on chairbacks at the new rate of $1,800 per seat. Deposits for all areas may be paid over three installments. The seat allocation process in the new stadium will be forthcoming.
Fans can secure their seating by contacting the Bulldog Club offices at 662-325-3074 or by visiting MSUBulldogClub.com.
In other baseball news, incoming freshman Elih Marrero was on campus Monday and he is set to enroll for the fall semester and play in the spring a source said.
Marrero, the son of former Major League Baseball player Eli, was taken by the Cincinnati Reds with the 29th pick in this year’s Major League Baseball Amateur Player Draft. A source said in the summer that he would not sign with the Reds and attend MSU.

Coggin palyed at MSU in 2008. He apperead in only eight games and scored two runs. He didn’t record a hit in four at-bats.
