Golden Triangle Trigger Time is officially open in Columbus.
Located at 882 Lehmberg Road, the new business offers high-tactical, firearm training simulations in hyper-realistic, 180-degree scenarios.
Owner Richard Dye first encountered the simulation model during his time with the U.S. Department of State in Afghanistan. He said he saw so much value in this type of practice that he wanted to bring it home to the Golden Triangle.
Having just opened a couple of weeks ago, Dye said several local law enforcement officers have already booked sessions to help sharpen their own firearm safety skills.
“They are absolutely blown away with the realness of these scenarios,” Dye said.
He added that though it is the type of simulation used by the FBI and CIA, it’s not strictly reserved for law enforcement and government agencies. The facility can also be booked for date nights, church security teams, corporate team-building exercises and more.
Though Dye noted they are typically open Tuesday through Saturday, all appointments must be booked online at goldentriangle or via the phone at (662) 871-4888.
Moving on, a new wellness clinic is coming to the area.
Dr. Ashley Sudduth, a family nurse practitioner, plans to open Sudduth Hydration and Wellness at 2012 Hwy. 45 N. in July. The clinic will offer IV hydration therapy, vitamin injections, medical weight management, hormone optimization, wellness consultations, telehealth services and more to help patients meet their health goals.
“My goal is to create a place where people feel heard, supported and empowered to improve their health,” Sudduth said. “Sudduth Hydration and Wellness is about helping our community feel their best through personalized wellness care and convenient access to health care services.”
Also in Columbus, the Jackson Square Grill is about to close for a grand remodel.
Located at 1927 Hwy. 45, the restaurant will close Monday and remain closed until July 14. According to its social media pages, the upcoming renovations will include an enclosed patio, remodeled restrooms and a whole new vibe.
Over in Starkville, I wanted to share an update on the new medical facility replacing the now-closed Ace Hardware at 118 Hwy. 12.
Kimberly Alexander, director of public relations for Baptist Memorial Health Care, confirmed the new Baptist Memorial Hospital office will include an oncology clinic and infusion center. Baptist intends to open the Baptist Medical Group clinic later this year.
