East Mississippi Community College unveiled its 2026-2027 football schedule this week to showcase its upcoming opponents in the program’s first 10-game regular season since 2000.
The Lions’ season will feature five home games, five away games and features an additional fourth non-division foe before taking on their sixth division opponent in defense of their 12th MACCC North Division title.
The season kicks off on Aug. 17 at Southwest Community College in the teams’ first game since 2021. EMCC then begins a slate of contests against three other MACCC South opponents in Hinds Community College (Sept. 3) and Pearl River (Sept. 10) before closing out non-division play on Sept. 17 against East Central. The EMCC-ECCC game is also the first since 2021.
MACCC North play gets started on Sept. 24 at Mississippi Delta Community College before the team’s homecoming on Oct. 3 against Northeast Mississippi Community College. Up next is an away game at Coahoma Community College on Oct. 8, a home game against Holmes Community College on Oct. 15, an away game at Itawamaba Community College on Oct. 22 and the regular season closes on Oct. 29 at home against Northwest Mississippi Community College – who have both combined to win the last 18 MACCC North Division titles.
