Bringing an end to a months-long investigation, two people suspected of drug trafficking were arrested with about 40 pounds of marijuana, Tuesday evening.
Michael Fort, 33, of 91 Wynhurst Court, and Christina Henry, 34, of 1103 Shady St., were arrested at about 6 p.m. at New Hope Road and Highway 182 after Columbus police learned of their location.
Both Fort and Henry were charged with possession of marijuana more than a kilo. Their bonds had not been set by 10:30 a.m. today.
The investigation, which was spearheaded by the Columbus Police Department, also involved Metro Narcotics Unit and U.S. Drug Enforcement agents.
