STARKVILLE – A man is behind bars for allegedly attacking and robbing a victim near a Renasant Bank ATM.
Kenji Taylor, 27, of Starkville is charged with robbery, a Starkville Police Department press release said. The victim had just used the ATM at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when the robbery occurred. The victim and suspect knew each other.
The victim suffered a broken rib and minor facial and head injuries, the press release said. SPD was notified Friday afternoon and arrested Taylor on Monday.
Taylor was out of prison on earned release supervision after serving time for a 2016 robbery at the former B-Quick convenience store on North Jackson Street, circuit court records confirmed. He is being held in Oktibbeha County Jail.
