Mississippi State and Ole Miss quarterbacks Blake Shapen and Austin Simmons are among the three players from their respective teams invited to SEC Media Days this year.
The Rebels’ contingent will consist of Simmons, linebacker TJ Dottery and wide receiver Cayden Lee. Mississippi State will be represented by Shapen, safety Isaac Smith and wide receiver Brenen Thompson. Shapen and Simmons will be two of the 11 projected starting quarterbacks scheduled to appear at SEC Media Days.
This year’s SEC Media Days will be held from July 14-17 at the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta. Ole Miss, led by head coach Lane Kiffin in his sixth year with the Rebels, is scheduled for a July 14 appearance while Mississippi State and second-year head coach Jeff Lebby are scheduled for July 16.
