STARKVILLE — The Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday that Mississippi State senior middle blocker Rebecca Walk was named to the 2023 SEC Community Service Team.
Walk finished her third season with the Bulldogs in 2023 recording 141 kills and 67 blocks in 83 sets played.
This is her third-straight year being named to the Community Service Team, working most notably with Starkville Strong to help donate canned goods to the community and local schools for their morning drop-off programs.
Walk is the current Student-Athletic Advisory Committee president at Mississippi State.
“We are super proud of Rebecca for her efforts in the community,” head coach Julie Darty Dennis said in Wednesday’s press release. “She is a role model student-athlete and I am so proud of her. She takes care of her work on and off the court, while still finding time to give back to our wonderful community. Rebecca is a true servant leader and I am so proud of her.”
