Ole Miss forward Cotie McMahon was named the winner of the 2026 Gillom Trophy, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.
McMahon, who was drafted in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Draft (11th overall) by the Washington Mystics on Monday, played one season with the Rebels after three at Ohio State. She was named first-team All-SEC and earned All-American honors after leading Ole Miss with 19.5 points per game. She also averaged 5.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game. McMahon scored a career-best 39 points in a win over Tennessee in February and scored 20 or more points in 19 games. The Rebels made their fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance, defeating Gonzaga in the first round before falling to Minnesota in the second.
McMahon is the fifth Ole Miss recipient of the Gillom Trophy in the last six seasons.
