Jeff Lebby added four recruits to Mississippi State football’s 2027 recruiting class over the weekend.
Running back Yoshawn Hudson, cornerback Ke’Vontae Pitts, athlete Ayden Coleman and quarterback Nash Morgan committed to the Bulldogs on Sunday. MSU’s 2027 recruiting class ranks 47th in the country, and 15th in the SEC, according to Rivals.
Hudson, from Winona, is a four-star recruit according to Rivals, and a three-star recruit on 247 Sports. He rushed for 1,544 and 22 touchdowns on 162 carries with the Winona High School Tigers in 2025. Hudson visited campus on Friday, and committed just two days later.
Hudson has other Power 4 offers from Houston, Cincinnati and Wisconsin. He is the fourth-highest rated commit for MSU’s 2027 class on Rivals.
Coleman is a three-star recruit from Louisville, Mississippi. On defense, Coleman got snaps at linebacker, edge and safety, and had 84 tackles, eight sacks and an interception in 2025. He can do it on the other side of the ball, catching 19 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Coleman was with Hudson on Friday’s visit. He has other Power 4 offers from Alabama and Ole Miss. According to rivals, Hudson has an official visit scheduled at Alabama on Friday.
Morgan is a three-star quarterback according to 247. He led the Warren Central Vikings to a 12-2 record, and did most of his damage on the ground with 1,577 yards and 27 touchdowns on 150 carries. Morgan also threw for 1,452 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Morgan has other offers from the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy, West Point and UNLV. He has family ties to MSU with his father, Josh, and his uncles Rob and Brett – now the head coach at Starkville – suiting up for State. Morgan was a part of Friday’s visit.
Pitts is the only non-Mississippian to commit to the Bulldogs on Sunday. He is an unrated recruit from Nashville with FBS offers from East Carolina, Arkansas State, Memphis and Charlotte. He had 60 tackles and three interceptions at East Nashville Magnet School in 2025.
