Mississippi State football flipped a local linebacker to join the Bulldogs’ 2027 class.
Devontray Brewer, a linebacker from Tupelo High School, committed to Mississippi State on Monday. The three-star had been committed to Stanford before flipping to the Bulldogs.
Brewer had 119 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks last season with the Golden Wave last season, according to Maxpreps.
Brewer is the third-highest ranked recruit in MSU’s 2027 class according to Rivals. He is the 52nd highest linebacker in the 2027 class and the 16th best player in Mississippi.
MSU’s 2027 class is 44th in the country and last (16th) in the SEC.
