Former Ole Miss star guard/forward Cotie McMahon – who earned All-SEC and All-American honors in her lone season with the Rebels – was selected by the Washington Mystics in the first round (11th overall) of the 2026 WNBA Draft on Monday.
McMahon is the third Ole Miss player selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft since 2022, joining Shakira Austin (third overall in 2022) and Marquesha Davis (11th overall in 2024).
McMahon, who played her first three seasons at Ohio State and was a two-time All-Big Ten pick, came to Ole Miss as one of the top available transfers in the 2025 class. She more than lived up to her billing, averaging a team-high 19.5 points and 3 assists per game. She scored a career-high 39 points against Tennessee in February and scored 20 or more points in 19 games. McMahon helped lead the Rebels to their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
The 6-foot Dayton, Ohio native shot 45.1% from the field and 28.6% from 3-point range. McMahon averaged 21 points per game in SEC games, third-most in the conference.
The Mystics went 16-28 in 2025. McMahon will join a pair of former Rebels on the Mystics in Austin and Madison Scott.
Latasha Lattimore selected 21st overall
Former Ole Miss forward Latasha Lattimore was selected by the Chicago Sky in the second round (21st overall) in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Lattimore averaged 10.9 points per game in her lone season with the Rebels. The 6-foot-4 Toronto native also played at Texas, Miami and Virginia.
Lattimore started 19 games in 2025-26 and scored a season-high 28 points in the Rebels’ SEC Tournament victory over Vanderbilt. She shot 48.2% from the field and 31.9% from 3-point range. Her 6.2 rebounds per game was second-most on the team.
