Debreasha Powe won’t have to travel far for her next school, or leave the Magnolia State.

The junior forward, who previously played for Mississippi State, announced via Instagram on Tuesday that she has committed to Ole Miss. She becomes the Rebels’ sixth incoming transfer this cycle.
Powe, a native of Meridian, averaged 8.4 points per game while shooting 39.8% from 3-point range this past season. She was a full-time starter in her three years at Starkville and has one year of eligibility remaining.
A four-star recruit coming out of Meridian High School, Powe was ranked as a top-100 recruit nationally by ESPN after helping Meridian win its first-ever state championship in 2022. She is expected to graduate from MSU in May after three years and will be a graduate transfer at Ole Miss.
Powe has been known for her 3-point marksmanship ever since she arrived in Starkville, but her length allows her to be more than just a shooter. If she can develop her all-around game and become a better ball-handler and defender, she can become an all-SEC caliber player with the Rebels in her final season.
