OXFORD — Ole Miss’ athletics department reported a deficit of $5,147,021 in fiscal year 2025, according to information the school filed with the NCAA. The athletic department’s total operating revenue was $178,621,017 while its operating expenses came out to $183,768,038.
Ole Miss reported a $7,714,598 deficit in fiscal year 2024. The Rebels sponsor 18 varsity sports: eight men’s and 10 women’s.
The athletic department reported a total revenue of $26,582,195 in ticket sales across all sports – with $21,830,623 coming from football – received $47,155,567 in contributions and an additional $49,607,055 from media rights. Coaching salaries, benefits and bonuses totaled $38,433,066, headlined by former head football coach Lane Kiffin’s $10,079,756. Men’s basketball coach Chris Beard made $5,678,537, women’s basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin made $1,192,131 and baseball coach Mike Bianco made $1,788,012. Softball coach Jamie Trachsel, who led the program to its first Women’s College World Series appearance in 2025, made $332,728.
Ole Miss also received $15,295,924 from the SEC as part of its distribution of postseason generated revenue.
The Rebels football team, which won a program record 13 games and advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals, made $28,861,898. The men’s and women’s basketball teams – which both made it to the Sweet 16 of their NCAA Tournaments – lost $928,920 and $7,420,971, respectively. The Rebels’ baseball team, which hosted a regional, made $1,180,883.
