NOXUBEE COUNTY – A man was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 388.
Omarion Javonte Jones, 18, of Macon, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Jones was driving west on Highway 388 between Pilgrim Rest Road and Deerbrook Road east of Brooksville, when his vehicle collided with another car traveling east.
A passenger in the car with Jones was taken to Noxubee General Hospital with moderate injuries, MHP Sgt. Derrick Beckom told The Dispatch in a text message. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
This crash remains under MHP investigation.
