STARKVILLE — A Starkville woman was arrested Friday morning after allegedly shooting at another woman at an apartment complex on Lynn Lane.
Tyraysha Goss-Smith, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, according to a Starkville Police Department press release.
Starkville Police officers responded to The Grove Apartments complex around 6:20 a.m. Friday after receiving calls about a fight between Goss-Smith and another woman in the doorway of an apartment, the release said.
SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said the other woman began to flee the fight on foot, heading toward the parking lot, when Goss-Smith fired multiple shots at her.
Lovelady said bond had not been set as of press time Friday.
The incident and the events leading up to it are still under investigation. Anyone with information should contact SPD at (662) 323-4131, Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151 or use the anonymous tip system on the SPD website. Crime Stoppers may offer a cash reward.
