Due to continued icy conditions, Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District campuses are closed for the rest of the week, while most other area schools are closed at least through Thursday.
Columbus Municipal School District, Lowndes County School District and Heritage Academy all announced they would remain closed Thursday due to the hazardous road conditions.
Starkville Academy had not announced its plans at the time of this posting.
Mississippi State University will resume normal operations Thursday. Those facing travel issues or other mobility issues are advised to contact their faculty member or instructor.
Mississippi University for Women will remain closed Thursday. The university anticipates resuming normal operations Friday.
East Mississippi Community College will continue remote operations Thursday, with classes meeting remotely or virtually.
