The former Guadalajara location on Highway 12 prepares for a new tenant. According to Starkville’s building office, a new restaurant is moving in, but details have yet to be released. No permits have been filed, but you can already see a new exterior paint job coming along. More details are on the way so keep an eye out while we await the new announcement.

Also in Columbus, the annual Downtown Art Walk is scheduled for later this month. Make sure you check it out from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 28. Rain or shine, you can walk through downtown to shop and pursue local artists and stores. The art walk is free to attend but you can earn “Art Walk Tickets” by supporting and purchasing artwork from participating businesses. Those tickets will earn you an entry for a grand door prize. Any artists interested, reach out to Columbus Main Street for more information at [email protected].
