The Big H in Point City is officially back.
After closing shop in January due to a medical emergency, West Point’s Mediterranean shop officially reopened on Monday.
Big H Deli on 45 owner Adnan Hanania is recovering well from his medical procedure, and the crew is excited to see its customers again.
“Please remember that he had major surgery, and he won’t be moving as fast as he usually does,” a social media post read. “Please be patient with him until he gets back into his groove. We would like to thank everyone for the calls, text, visits, messages, and prayers. Most of all we want to thank our customers for their understanding as we had to close for longer than normal.”
Moving to Columbus, let’s get Fired Up, y’all.
Fired Up Studio, located at 424 Main St., has expanded its artistic reach to a ramen bar. Now, folks can eat, paint, enjoy a bowl of ramen or do all three!
There’s no reservation needed, so just drop by 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Fired Up first opened in July 2024, offering candle pouring, ceramic painting, make-your-own doormat, private parties and more.
Moving on – one call that’s all. Injury law firm Richard Schwartz and Associates is hosting its grand opening at 4 p.m. March 3 at 115 N. Fifth St.
Heading over to Starkville, there’s some sweet news on the horizon. Loco Lemons, a food truck/trailer, will open in early April.
“We are waiting for consistent warmer weather,” owner Jared Martin said. “… We will be making fresh-squeezed, made-to-order lemonade and limeades. We will offer a sugar free option as well. We are going to offer a variety of flavor add-ins such as strawberry, blue raspberry, mango, peach, mint (and) lavender.”
They hope to be a vendor during the Starkville Derby set for April 25. Follow Loco Lemons on social media for more details and updates.
I’ve been stuck in NYC because of this snow storm, and I can tell you one thing: I am so ready to be back in the land of the South. I’ll see you next week!
