WEST POINT — A man faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting a woman during an argument Friday night, West Point Police Department Investigator John Michael Lay told The Dispatch.
Lajeffrey Quinn, 32, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a felon.
At about 3 p.m. on Friday, Quinn and the victim got into an altercation over some property, Lay said. Quinn shot the woman with a handgun and then fled the scene, he said.
Lay said the victim has since been treated for her injuries and is in good condition.
Police arrested Quinn on Saturday. He is currently being held at the Clay County Detention Center with a total bond of $500,000.
