STARKVILLE – One man is behind bars and another hospitalized after a shooting early Friday at an apartment complex on Lynn Lane.
Danterius Nichols, 22, of Starkville, is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to a police department press release.
Officers responded at about 3:17 a.m. to Ferndale Apartments in reference to the shooting. The victim was flown out of the area for medical treatment.
The suspect and victim knew each other prior to the shooting, the press release said.
Nichols is being held in Oktibbeha County Jail.
