Two incumbents will run unopposed for seats on the Lowndes County School Board in the upcoming election.
Robert Barksdale, who represents District 3, and Wesley Barrett, who represents District 4, are the only candidates who qualified for the race by Friday’s deadline, according to the Lowndes County circuit clerk’s office.
With no challengers, both Barksdale and Barrett are set to retain their positions through 2030.
The election is Nov. 5.
