MSU students recognized for service, leadership in natural resources
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State University recognized 30 students at the recent spring MSU College of Forest Resources Student Awards Banquet for their dedication to academic achievement, research excellence, outstanding service and leadership.
Local award recipients include:
■ Muhammad Usama, a master’s student studying forestry from Starkville, who won the Moehring Outstanding Graduate Student Award-MS;
■ Vandana Dharan, a doctoral student studying wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture from Starkville, who won the Ernest Gluesing Memorial Outstanding Graduate Student Award-PhD;
■ Aadarsha Lamichhane, a doctoral student studying sustainable bioproducts from Starkville, who won the Outstanding Graduate Student award-PhD;
■ Harika Undadi, a master’s student studying sustainable bioproducts from Starkville, who won the Outstanding Graduate Student award-MS; and
■ Quinton Wiley, a sophomore studying sustainable bioproducts from Starkville, who won the Sophomore Academic Achievement Award.
Laughlin named to Lee University Dean’s List
CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Lee University congratulates Jaiden Laughlin, Starkville, on earning Dean’s List honors during the Spring 2026 semester.
Dean’s List recognition is earned by full-time, undergraduate students with a semester grade point average between 3.7 and 4.00.
Brock graduates from Marion Military Institute
MARION, Ala. – Marion Military Institute congratulates Jordan Brock, of Caledonia, for earning an associate’s degree. A homeschool graduate, Brock was one of 85 cadets participating in the college’s commencement ceremony.
Second Lt. Brock was also commissioned as a U.S. Army officer on graduation day through MMI ROTC’s accelerated, two-year program.
