Applications for the Mississippi Association of Supervisors Minority Caucus Scholarship are now available to eligible graduating high school seniors in Mississippi.
To be eligible, applicants must have been accepted to a technical school, community college, senior college or university located in Mississippi.
With their completed applications, students must submit their acceptance letter, a one-page biography, an official transcript, two letters of recommendation and a list of the applicant’s local, state and congressionally elected officials with addresses and telephone numbers.
Additionally, students must write an essay exploring one of three topics: leadership and community impact, personal contributions in the community or a moment of sportsmanship or collaboration.
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted by March 31. Details and additional instructions are available at mas-mc.org.
A total of 15 scholarships valued at $1,000 will be awarded, with recipients to be announced at the Mississippi Association of Supervisors Minority Caucus summer meeting in Biloxi and at a local board of supervisors meeting.
