Two men were injured in a weekend shooting on 17th Street South, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
CPD officers responded to a call of reported gunshots at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, the release said.
At the scene, officers found two men had been shot. One suffered from multiple gunshots, and the other was hit once in his left hand. Both victims were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle to be treated for their injuries.
CPD Public Information Officer Bryan Moore said both victims are expected to recover. The incident is still under investigation, and a person of interest has been identified, he said.
