Two sisters have been charged with using a pipe and a beer bottle to hit a man in the head Monday at the Eveningside apartment complex.
The assault was the culmination of a long-standing domestic dispute between the victim”s family and that of Lakevia Lanae Isaac, 21, and Chassidy Michelle Isaac, 26, both of 719 20th St. N.
Police were called to the apartments at 815 13th St. N. for the fourth time in three days at 11:30 p.m. Monday, shortly after the Isaac sisters attacked the victim, whom they claimed had earlier assaulted their mother, according to police.
The victim left the scene before police arrived, delaying the arrests of the suspects. He was treated at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle for cuts to his head and released.
The Isaac sisters were charged with aggravated assault while manifesting extreme indifference to life. Their bonds were set at $1,000.
Police had already responded to the apartments twice before that same day and once before Sunday after neighbors reported a large crowd was fighting.
In those cases, Chassidy Isaac, the defendants” mother Karen Isaac, Brenda Roby and Marquita Roby were all charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Lakevia Isaac also was charged with contempt of court.
