Visit Starkville’s Director of Tourism Paige Hunt is the new secretary and treasurer for the Mississippi Tourism Association, the organization announced Tuesday.
Hunt joined the Greater Starkville Development Partnership in 2021 as the Director of Tourism, where she has worked to develop and implement programs to further tourism in Starkville. During her tenure, Starkville has been awarded Tourism Partnership of the Year, Small Festival/Event of the Year at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism. She was also named Member of the Year in 2023 by MTA.
Before joining The Partnership, she served as director of sales and visitor services at Visit Hattiesburg, where she sold Hattiesburg as a leisure and corporate destination.
Hunt also serves as the treasurer for the Mississippi Destination Marketing Organization Association, as president of the Board of Directors for Visit the Cities of the SEC, on the board of directors for the Mississippi Tourism Association, on the board of directors for the Mississippi Society of Association Executives, as secretary of the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area Alliance and as president of the board of directors for the Starkville Community Theatre.
