STARKVILLE — A break in the main water line is leaving some customers under a boil water notice, a press release from Starkville Utilities said.
Customers living off Highway 12 and Old Highway 12 west of Highway 25 are asked to boil water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking or making ice.
The area includes the Sunset subdivision and the former Bluefield Water Association area.
Water samples are being sent to the state water lab for testing with results expected to arrive Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
All other water customers are unaffected and may continue as normal.
