Police arrested a man Thursday after he used a knife during a physical altercation, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Jaquon Norwood, 22, faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge and is being held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
CPD officers responded to the 500 block of Ninth Avenue South Thursday after receiving reports of a disturbance.
At the scene, Norwood was in an altercation with another man. When the altercation turned physical, Norwood grabbed a knife and cut the man. The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital to be treated.
Norwood’s initial court appearance was Friday, and his bond is set at $100,000.
