Starkville Police Department arrested a teenage boy Monday for aggravated assault after he allegedly shot another male juvenile in the leg Saturday night.
SPD has charged Cameron Jones, 16, of Starkville for the incident. Officers responded to the scene at 9:27 p.m. Saturday after hearing gunshots at Brookville Garden apartments.
The victim was flown out of the area for further treatment.
Jones is being held at Oktibbeha County Jail with a bond set at $200,000.
SPD is expecting to make more arrests in the case, Chief of Police Mark Ballard said in a press release.
