■ Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Tournament: Lowndes County Recreation is hosting an ultimate frisbee tournament at the Roger Short Soccer Complex from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Multiple teams are to compete and the public is welcome to view the tournament.
■ Horror at the Fairgrounds: Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Community Benefit Committee will hold its haunted house beginning at 6 p.m. nightly at the Columbus Fairgrounds. ■ Cruisin’ and Swap Meet: Bring your cruiser out for a day of hot rods, classics, customs, camaraderie and trading in Steens. Participants can swap car parts, sell memorabilia or showcase rods and classic cars. Setup is free of charge, and admission is free for everyone. ■ Pilates After Dark: Lowndes County Recreation invites the community to attend a free pilates class from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. Bring your own yoga mat and water bottle, and wear comfortable clothes.

■ Hot Rods and Cookies: The community is invited to attend a fundraiser for the Lee Park Restoration project. This event features a car show, cruise-in and bake sale in downtown Columbus. The bake sale will be set up in front of Zachary’s, with the car show and cruise-in taking place on Second Avenue North beside the restaurant. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, and is free for all cars, trucks and motorcycles. Baked goods, both sweet and savory, may be donated in front of Zachary’s from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
■ Annual Turkey Drive: The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is collecting turkeys for the community from Nov. 2–19. Donations are appreciated to help local families this holiday season and be dropped off at 517 S. MLK Jr. Drive.

■ Brass-Bow Trio Recital: Anne-Gaelle Ravetto, Douglas Mark and Jung-Won Shin will perform in a recital at 7:30 p.m. in Poindexter Hall on the Mississippi University for Women campus. The recital is free and open to the public.
Tuesday, Nov. 4
■ Women’s Health and Entrepreneurship: Amy Bogue, president of Allegro Family Clinics, will share about regional access to women’s health care services at 4 p.m. in the Gail P. Gunter Room of Fant Library on the Mississippi University for Women campus, as a part of the MUW Women’s College Colloquium Series.
■ W Chamber Singers Concert: The W Chamber Singers will perform a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Poindexter Hall on the Mississippi University for Women campus. The recital is free and open to the public.

■ Women’s Wellness Luncheon: Mississippi University for Women’s Vandergriff College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle host the annual Women’s Wellness Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. at the Baptist Golden Triangle Conference Center. ■ Shelters, Vets, and Our Pets: The Columbus-Lowndes Public Library system in partnership with the Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society and the Animal Clinic of Columbus invite the public for a fun and informative chat about responsible pet care and how shelters and vets work together to support animals in our community.
