OXFORD – For the first time since its 2022 College World Series title run, Ole Miss baseball will be returning to the NCAA Tournament. It’s just a matter of where.
With their series win over then-No. 6 Auburn to wrap up the regular season, the Rebels (37-18, 16-14 SEC) have put themselves back in the conversation to potentially host a regional in Oxford. Ole Miss has an RPI of 18, is ranked No. 17 in the latest D1 Baseball poll and No. 16 in Baseball America’s latest top 25. Sixteen teams will host four-team regionals when the bracket is announced next Monday, and the top eight overall seeds will be guaranteed homefield through the regionals and super regionals should they advance. Ole Miss last held a regional in 2021, when the Rebels defeated Southern Miss in the final to advance to the Tucson Super Regional.
Ole Miss clinched a first-round bye in this week’s SEC Tournament and will play the winner of Tuesday’s Florida-South Carolina game on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network.
