ACKERMAN — Starkville volleyball took down Choctaw County in a four-set victory on the road Thursday evening.
Thursday’s set scores were 25-16, 25-19, 24-26 and 25-17. The Yellow Jackets (4-7) commanded the match early, going up two sets before losing a close third set. They were able to comfortably close out the match in set four.
Starkville’s next game will be at home against Oxford at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Tupelo 3, Caledonia 2
TUPELO — Caledonia volleyball fought hard but lost to Tupelo in a close five-set match on the road Thursday night.
Thursday’s set scores were 25-13, 25-22, 19-25, 15-25 and 6-15. The Cavaliers (3-3) stormed out early and dominated the match from the jump, going up two sets almost immediately.
However, momentum changed in the third set as Tupelo rallied from two sets down to win three straight for the victory.
Caledonia’s next match is on the road against Amory at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Heritage Academy 3, East Rankin Academy 2
Heritage Academy got back to its winning ways, defeating East Rankin Academy, 3-2, on Thursday night.
Forward Caroline Peal was the story of the night for the Patriots (4-3), scoring her 10th goal of the season in just her fifth game. Sophie Starks and Lilly Moody also scored in the victory.
Heritage’s next game is Wednesday on the road in Greenville against Washington School.
