CORINTH — Heritage Academy baseball played two games today in Corinth as part of a spring break tournament, walking off Jackson Christian School (TN), 7-6, and losing 7-4 to Saltillo in the late game.
The Patriots overcame five errors against the Eagles as Spencer Singley hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh. Heritage scored three runs in the seventh, started by an RBI double from Adyn Westmoreland and a Carson Hollis RBI single. Hollis also pitched six innings in the win.
In the loss, Jack Ketchum was the story for the Pats, recording three hits and striking out six in 3.2 innings of work.
Heritage Academy travels to play Pillow Academy in its next game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

GULF SHORES, Ala. — New Hope baseball defeated Madison County (Ala.) via run rule, 11-0, in five innings at the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Austin Minichino struck out nine in five innings of work in the win for the Trojans (9-4) allowing one hit and walking one. Five players recorded RBIs and Caiden Chain led with two hits.
New Hope continues in at the Gulf Coast Classic on Wednesday.
