IUKA — Caledonia came out and took care of business against Tishomingo County on Friday night, shutting out the Braves, 43-0.
The Cavaliers (2-5) had great success and consistency on both sides of the ball, scoring early and often to put the game out of reach.
Caledonia’s next game is on the road against Mooreville at 7 p.m. Friday.
Lafayette 45, Columbus 13
OXFORD — Columbus saw its two-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night as the Falcons lost, 45-13, to Lafayette.
The Falcons (2-5), while able to score points on the day, just couldn’t keep up with the offensive prowess of the Commodores.
Columbus travels to play Cleveland Central in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
New Hope 26, Greenville 0
GREENVILLE — New Hope snapped a three-game losing streak with an impressive 26-0 shutout victory over Greenville on the road.
The Trojans (3-3) really used the rushing game well, breaking down the Greenville defense as the game wore on.
New Hope takes on Lafayette at home in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
West Lowndes 38, French Camp Academy 14
FRENCH CAMP — West Lowndes improved to 3-1 in district play on Friday night with a dominant 38-14 win over French Camp Academy.
The Panthers (5-2) are alone in third place in district play with the win, their fourth game scoring at least 36 points, going 4-0 in those games.
West Lowndes will take on unbeaten Hamilton in its next game at home at 7 p.m. Friday.
Noxubee County 44, Kemper County 7
DE KALB — Noxubee County is now on a two-game winning streak after an impressive 44-7 road win over Kemper County.
The Tigers (4-3) are back over the .500 mark with Friday’s win, one that showcased an impressive passing attack. Noxubee County started hot and stayed hot.
Noxubee County’s next game is on the road against Amory at 7 p.m. Friday.
Carroll Academy 48, Oak Hill Academy 7
WEST POINT — Oak Hill Academy had its two-game winning streak snapped with a 48-7 home loss against Carroll Academy.
The Raiders (3-5) gave up 40 or more points for the third time this season, all three of those games ending up as losses.
Oak Hill Academy travels to play Central Holmes Christian in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
Manchester Academy 47, Columbus Christian Academy 18
STEENS — Columbus Christian Academy fell back to .500 on the season after losing to Manchester Academy, 47-18, on Friday night.
The Rams (4-4) were taking on a team that came into Friday’s game averaging over 50 points a game on offense, and while they were able to hold Manchester Academy under that, they couldn’t manage enough on offense to keep up.
Weathers finished with 99 passing yards, 78 rushing yards and 68 receiving yards.
Garrett Weathers threw a touchdown pass and caught another for Columbus Christian, tossing a 30-yard touchdown to Luke Phillips and catching a 25-yard scoring pass from Drake Shaw.
McCory Humphres ran for a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Columbus Christian Academy will host Marvell Academy (Arkansas) in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
Kemper Academy 28, Hebron Christian 6
DE KALB — Hebron Christian kept things relatively close against Kemper Academy, but fell in the end, 28-6.
It was the smallest margin of any game this season for the Eagles (0-8), but while the game was closer, Hebron Christian wasn’t able to get enough offense going to get back into the game.

Cornerstone Christian Academy (Ala.) 41, Victory Christian Academy 0
Victory Christian Academy was held scoreless for the fourth time in five games this season, a 41-0 shutout loss against Cornerstone Christian Academy (Alabama) on Friday night.
The Eagles (0-5) have been outscored 168-30 through their first five games of the season, with opponents scoring 40 or more points in three of those five games.
Victory Christian Academy will host Jacksonville Christian Academy (Alabama) in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
Aliceville (Ala.) 52, Cold Springs (Ala.) 8
ALICEVILLE, Ala. — Aliceville (Alabama) took care of business in a big way with a 52-8 beatdown of Cold Springs (Alabama) on Friday night.
The Yellow Jackets (7-1) have done nothing but dominate this season with their offense, scoring 50 or more points for the fourth time and at least 40 points for the seventh time.
Aliceville will travel to play Winston County (Alabama) in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
Escambia Academy (Ala.) 35, Pickens Academy (Ala.) 22
CARROLLTON, Ala. — Pickens Academy (Alabama) kept things close against Escambia Academy (Alabama) but was just unable to do enough on Friday night, losing 35-22.
The Pirates (2-5) didn’t nearly have the offensive struggles on Friday that they did over their past two games but gave up at least 35 points as a defense for the second straight game.
Pickens Academy will host Clarke Prep (Alabama) in its next game at 7 p.m. Friday.
