CALEDONIA — Caledonia baseball put on quite the performance today against Pickens County (Alabama), no-hitting the Tornadoes in an impressive 28-0 final in five innings.
Reid Garrett, Carson Gorum and Jack Mullins twirled a combined masterpiece on the mound, striking out 13 Pickens County hitters, 13 of a possible 15 outs in the game. Garrett, around two walks, struck out the side in each of his three innings of work.
Offensively, 11 Caledonia (3-1) hitters recorded a hit and 19 scored at least one run, with seven scoring multiple runs. Fifteen players recorded at least one RBI, with six driving in multiple runs.
Caledonia will take on Amory in its next game at 2 p.m. Saturday.

West Point baseball defeated West Lowndes, 12-2, on the road on Thursday evening.
The Green Wave saw two strong performances on the mound from Corbin Hendricks and Dawson Tyler, as Hendricks struck out six and gave up one hit over 3.1 innings of work while Tyler struck out six in 2.2 hitless innings.
Cortlin Carter and Elijah Young both had multi-hit games, driving in three runs each. Young hit a triple and Carter went deep for West Point.
West Point will play Forest and Meridian in its next games on Saturday afternoon, while West Lowndes will travel to play Columbus in its next game at 6 p.m. Monday.
Starkville 9, Kosciusko 6
KOSCIUSKO — Starkville baseball defeated Kosciusko, 9-6, on the road on Thursday night.
The Yellow Jackets (2-0) saw multi-hit games from Brennon Wright, Ethan Pulliam and Kieran Coleman as Coleman, Wright and Chipper Hornburger each drove in multiple runs in the win. Coleman led Starkville with three runs batted in.
On the mound, Cole Kendrick threw three innings and Otto Hyche struck out five for Starkville, which will host West Lauderdale in its next game at 3 p.m. Saturday.

WEST POINT — West Point softball defeated Starkville, 9-8, on Thursday night in West Point.
The Green Wave improved to 2-0 on the season in the nail-biting victory while the Yellow Jackets suffered their first loss of the season, now 3-1 so far.
Olivia Mattison struck out nine on the mound for Starkville as six players recorded hits in the loss, Tatum Still recording the lone extra-base hit with a double.
West Point will host West Lowndes in its next game at 6:30 p.m. Friday, while Starkville will travel to play Kosciusko in its next game at 6:15 p.m. Monday.

Heritage Academy 5, French Camp Academy 2
FRENCH CAMP — Heritage Academy tennis defeated French Camp Academy, 5-2, in varsity tennis in French Camp on Thursday afternoon.
The Patriots (3-0) lost both singles matches as Kaylee West fell in straight sets to McKinley Wade, 6-2, 6-2, and Joshua Tedford lost to Brennan McGlothin in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0.
Heritage Academy cleaned up in doubles play, with just one of the five matches, including mixed doubles, going to a third-set tiebreaker. The pairing of Calloway/Perkins defeated Lane/Loden in mixed doubles without dropping a set, a 6-0, 6-0 win.
Heritage Academy will travel to face Starkville in its next match at 4 p.m. Monday.
