Ole Miss senior guard/forward Madison Scott was announced as the winner of the Gillom Trophy on Monday, given annually to the top women’s college basketball player in Mississippi. An Ole Miss player has won the award in four of the last five years, including three straight from 2021-23 before Mississippi State’s Jessika Carter won it last season.

Scott, a fifth-year senior from Indian Head, Maryland, is a three-time All-SEC pick and was a second-team selection this season. Her 11.9 points per game leads the team, as does her 3.9 assists per game. Her 5.3 rebounds per game is second on the team to forward Starr Jacobs. Scott helped lead Ole Miss to a pair of wins over AP top-10 teams this season, the first such instance in program history.
With a berth in the 2025 NCAA Tournament essentially locked up, the Rebels will have made the tournament in each of Scott’s last four seasons. She has played in 151 career games, which is the most in program history, and has averaged 11.2 points per game overall.
Ole Miss learns its NCAA Tournament fate Sunday.
The other Gillom finalists were Mississippi State’s Jerkaila Jordan and Jackson State’s Taleah Dilworth.
