Even though the high school football season is over, there’s still one more game left to play for Noxubee County’s Jadien Taylor.
On Saturday at noon, Taylor will have the honor of representing his home state in the annual Mississippi Association of Coaches Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game, which is being played at Southern Miss’ M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Two other area players were originally selected to join Taylor within the ranks of the prestigious game, West Point defensive lineman Jorden Rush and fellow Noxubee Tiger Bennett Payton, but both will miss the game due to injuries.
Taylor, a Mississippi State football commit, is coming off a 12-6 loss to Raleigh in the Class 3A state championship game last week in which he scored the team’s lone touchdown on a 15-yard run and finished the game with 90 rushing yards on 22 carries. Taylor ended his senior campaign with 27 total touchdowns, 805 receiving yards, 641 rushing yards and 585 passing yards.
He’s in elite company on the team, which features some of the best players the state’s 2026 senior class has to offer. Players like Gulfport running back Crosby Cooper and Tupelo running back JJ Hill, both fellow Mississippi State commits, Hattiesburg wide receiver and five-star recruit Tristen Keys, Picayune defensive lineman and Alabama commit Nolan Wilson, Desoto Central quarterback and Memphis commit Eric Perry Jr. and a host of many more talented prospects. The Mississippi team will be led by Laurel head coach Ryan Earnest and is coming off a 35-29 defeat to Alabama’s All-Stars in last year’s contest.
