STARKVILLE — Starkville and the Rula Tennis Pavilion will be one of 15 hosts for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kickoff Weekend on January 27-28, 2024.
Mississippi State, who is hosting for the second time in three years, will welcome Florida State, VCU and Arizona State.
The mini bracket-style event sees the Bulldogs taking on VCU in the opening round while Florida State and Arizona State play in the other matches.
The losers of both matches will play in a consolation game while the match winners will play in a championship game to decide who goes to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at Columbia University from February 16-19.
Mississippi State hasn’t been to the team indoor championships since 2019. They are 1-3 against VCU all-time and an 11-8 record against Florida State, with a 4-3 win in 2023.
The Bulldogs and Sun Devils have never faced each other.
