The Mississippi State men’s basketball team has officially started building its 2021 class.
KeShawn Murphy, a 6-foot-10 forward from Ramsay High School (Alabama), became the first recruit to commit to the Bulldogs for 2021. Rated the 88th-best player in the ESPN Top 100, Murphy will be eligible to sign with MSU in November.
Murphy, a three-star recruit and the 155th-best player nationally according to 247 Sports, received offers from Auburn, Alabama, Western Kentucky, and UAB.
In his junior season at Ramsay, Murphy averaged 21 points and 12.5 rebounds per game en route to being selected as an all-state selection.
Assuming Murphy signs, the Bulldogs will have two more scholarships to offer for the class of 2021.
