STARKVILLE – Mississippi State senior cornerback Raydarious Jones was arrested Saturday night and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving. Jones has since bonded out, according to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.
Jones, a Horn Lake native, transferred from LSU before the 2023 season and appeared in one game for the Bulldogs as a member of the punt return unit.
“We’re aware of the matter and are continuing to gather information. We have no further comment at this time,” first-year head coach Jeff Lebby said in a statement to The Dispatch.
Jones is the fourth football player arrested this offseason. Sophomore defensive lineman Trevion Williams was arrested May 1 on suspicion of DUI and having improper equipment. Freshman wide receivers Mario Craver and JJ Harrell were arrested on April 29 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of beer by a minor.
