The Mississippi High School Activities Association announced Thursday afternoon that this year’s state championships for football will be held at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, home of Ole Miss, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
For the last few years, including 2022, state championships were held at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, home of Southern Miss.
It looks like the rotation of holding state championships at Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss could very much be back in play.
The Thursday-Saturday schedule is set to accommodate the new seven classifications for public school athletics in Mississippi.
Below is the schedule of games for state championships this season:
Thursday
1A – 3:30 p.m.
5A – 7 p.m.
Friday
2A – 3:30 p.m.
6A – 7 p.m.
Saturday
4A – Noon
3A – 3:30 p.m.
7A – 7 p.m.
