1:51 p.m. — Touchdown, LSU. After a Mississippi State penalty negates an LSU punt, the Tigers score on a 41-yard pass from Max Johnson to Kole Taylor. MSU cornerback Emmanuel Forbes was carted off the field after being injured in a collision with teammate Fred Peters. LSU 28, MSU 10, 11:32 left in the game.
1:33 p.m. — End of the third quarter: LSU 21, Mississippi State 10.
1:30 p.m. — Touchdown, Mississippi State. Will Rogers finds Makai Polk for a 29-yard score. Nolan McCord’s PAT is good. LSU 21, MSU 10, 0:26 left in the third quarter.
1:19 p.m. — Touchdown, LSU. Trey Palmer is left wide open in the middle of the field. Max Johnson connects with the wideout for a 58-yard touchdown. LSU 21, MSU 3, 3:35 left in the third quarter.
1:04 p.m. — After Mississippi State gets into the red zone, Nolan McCord’s 33-yard field goal is wide left. The Bulldogs come up empty again.
12:53 p.m. — Mississippi State running back Woody Marks is slow to get up after a first-down conversion in the third quarter, holding his right shoulder. Dillon Johnson went down earlier in the game with an apparent leg injury.
12:48 p.m. — Touchdown, LSU. Less than a minute into the second half, Kayshon Boutte takes a short pass from Max Johnson 64 yards to the house. LSU 14, MSU 3, 14:22 left in the third quarter.
12:26 p.m. — Halftime: LSU 7, Mississippi State 3. The Bulldogs’ offense fizzled out in three big spots with two turnovers and a field goal. The Tigers get the ball to start the second half.
12:05 p.m. — Emmanuel Forbes makes up for a lapse in coverage on third-and-long with an interception on the following play. MSU ball at the 20, 6:08 left in the first half.
11:57 a.m. — Field goal, Mississippi State. Nolan McCord makes a 23-yard kick after a run play on third-and-goal from the 2 is stuffed. LSU 7, MSU 3, 8:19 left in the second quarter.

10:36 a.m. — Mississippi State’s starters are announced. Nolan McCord is the Bulldogs’ starting kicker with Archer Trafford at punter. Jaden Walley starts at wide receiver alongside Austin Williams, Makai Polk and Malik Heath. Jett Johnson starts over Nathaniel Watson at middle linebacker.
