The Mississippi Association of Coaches released the rosters for the Mississippi/Alabama and North/South All-Star games last week, set to be played at Mississippi College in March, and the Golden Triangle is well-represented.
Golden Triangle-area schools had several representatives, starting with the Mississippi/Alabama all-star game that will be played on March 9. Starkville senior guard Tootie Lockett was selected for the girls team for the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game scheduled for March 9. She is the lone area representative.
As for the North/South games, four players were selected to rosters. In the Class 1A-3A game, Noxubee County junior Kamario Taylor will be on the boys’ South team as his stellar season continues.
In the Class 4A-7A game, Columbus senior guard Jace O’Neal and New Hope junior forward Wilton Bush will be part of the boys’ North team and Starkville junior forward Zariyah Edwards is joining the girls team.
Both North/South games will tip off on March 16 in Clinton.
