
OXFORD — Former Ole Miss star offensive lineman Terrence Metcalf has been elected into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday. Metcalf will be the 10th Ole Miss player inducted into the Hall of Fame, which includes Bruiser Kinard, Charlie Conerly, Jake Gibbs, Archie Manning and Patrick Willis.
Metcalf, who is from Clarksdale, played tackle for the Rebels from 1997-2001. He was a two-time first-team All-SEC pick and was a consensus All-American in 2001. Metcalf is also a member of the Mississippi Sports and Ole Miss Sports Halls of Fame. He was a third-round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2002 NFL Draft and played in the NFL for seven seasons, starting a career-high 13 games for the Bears in 2005. Metcalf’s son, DK, was a star receiver at Oxford High and with the Rebels and now plays for the Seattle Seahawks, where he is a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
Metcalf and his fellow electees will be honored on Dec. 9, 2025 at the National Football Foundation Annual Awards Dinner.
