The Egg Bowl is moving back to Thanksgiving.
Both the Ole Miss and Mississippi State athletic department announced Thursday the Egg Bowl will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Starkville in 2021, and also air on thanksgiving in 2022 when the game shifts to Oxford.
The game has been held on Thanksgiving night 23 times previously, including 2017-2019.
In the most recent meeting, Ole Miss snapped a two-game MSU winning streak in the series by beating the Bulldogs 31-28 in Oxford.
