Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff, said on Fox News, “Our objective, one way or another, is to make clear that the district courts of this country do not have the authority to direct the functions of the executive branch. Period.” In other words, President Trump need not obey the courts.
Did the people who voted for Mr. Trump really believe that he meant to be a dictator? If they did, they are profoundly self-destructive.
