Listen up, folks! There is an electric Ferrari. An electric Ferrari! This is the car that made Shelby Cobra famous.
China is eating our lunch (and breakfast and dinner, and for the hobbits among us, second breakfast) with EV technology. They leave us in the dust in every aspect of EV, including recharging speed. What the bleep? We have been the giants of the world in technology and science for more than a hundred years. If Ferrari is marketing an EV, then EVs have arrived. So what are we doing? Are we deliberately trying to become a third-world nation?
The answer is painfully simple. Oil billionaires rule our country. The Donald, while campaigning, promised Big Oil that he would look out for their interests in return for a BILLION-dollar campaign donation. He got it. Check Google for all the rewards our President has showered on Big Oil. It is truly shocking.
Eveybody knew that the Strait of Hormuz would close if the Donald attacked Iran. Who profits? The resulting oil crisis has led to record profits for Big Oil.
You may not know it yet, but your next car or truck would have been an EV if the normal market forces had been allowed to operate, but the Donald has thrown every possible obstacle in the way of the production of that EV. The big three automakers, seeing the political landscape, have de-emphasized or shut down their EV lines. Charging station infrastructure has been blocked.
This is not all. Donny has declared war on any energy source that does not rely on oil or natural gas. All this must make the oil billionaires grin.
None of this includes the issue of climate disaster. Whatever you believe about global heating, gasoline is inefficient on the ground. If nothing else, we need to secure all our petroleum fractures for our aircraft. We are recklessly burning in our cars the jet fuel of the future. Alas, we have come up with nothing energetic enough to fuel aircraft but petroleum products. This is manifestly not true for cars and trucks.
Ferrari is making an EV.
