This week marks a very special milestone for our community — Allegro Med Spa is celebrating its 25th birthday!
Originally founded as the very first spa in Columbus, Mississippi, this local gem has been a place of restoration and self-care for thousands over the past quarter-century. Allegro acquired the spa in 2018, and under the faithful leadership of Nikki Rowland, it continued to flourish with excellence, integrity, and care. Just last week, Nikki passed the torch, and we are delighted to welcome back Kandy Jones — founder of Brickerton Day Spa — as the new Manager of Allegro Med Spa.
I got chills when our neighbor, Steven Alford, told me it “feels like old times.” He and Kandy are often the first to arrive and the last to leave, chatting in the parking lot long after closing. That image perfectly captures what makes small businesses like this so special — genuine relationships, dedication, and a love for the people they serve.
As we celebrate Allegro Med Spa’s 25th anniversary, I want to honor both Kandy Jones and Steven Alford, and all the incredible small-business owners who have made Columbus shine for decades. You are the heartbeat of our town.
Happy Birthday to the very first spa in Columbus, Mississippi — here’s to 25 years of beauty, wellness, and community!
