COLUMBUS — Walter “Walt” Lee Johnson Jr., 53, died Sept. 22, 2020. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-6 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Johnson was born to the late Walter and Mary Jane Johnson Sr. He attended public schools in Lowndes County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gregory Johnson, Patrick Johnson and henry Nicholson. He is survived by his wife, Emmer Lou Kidd; children, Drucilla Vassar, Marcoria Rice, Timothy Kidd all of Columbus, Kenyartha Smith of Macon, Malik Johnson of Starkville and Tina Turner of Caledonia; siblings, Carolyn Guyton of Louisville, Kentucky, Patricia Smith, Roger Taylor, Lionel White all of Macon, Milton Johnson of Springfield, Missouri and Jasin Johnson of Radcliff, Kentucky; and 15 grandchildren.
